The Community

The Community

Learn about our community, how we unite and practical information.

Why StoicUnity?

StoicUnity exists to build a globally connected community of people who focus their self development efforts through a philosophy lens.

We termed it "Philosophical Self-Development". StoicUnity is here to grow this movement, and offer the world something different to other forms of self development.

We believe in philosophy and the power to provide time-tested guiding principles.

We believe in stoic philosophy, as a set of principles particularly useful in our current timeline.

And we believe in community, the way in which many people can come together and create new, emergent remixes on philosophy that are both helpful and timely.

How can I become a part of the community?

Firstly, if you'd just like to follow along with our journey of building a stoicism community, you can add your email to our list and we will send you the monthly newsletter with everything happening.

Secondly, if you'd like to experience the core experience of our community, join an open philosophy meeting. We run one for the West timezone, and another for the East timezone every 2 weeks.

How can I go even deeper?

We are glad you asked! StoicUnity is always on the lookout for community leaders.

We want to expand our open philosophy circles so that more people can join, while still remaining at the optimal group size.

If you are looking to develop your leadership and space-holding skillsets, reach out to Jono or Egils and let them know you'd like to advance into a leadership role.

The Open Philosophy Circle Meetings

The Open Philosophy Circle Meetings

Learn about our online gatherings, and how we come together to create value and growth for each other.

Can anyone join these meetings?

Yep. These are open to the public, and free to all.

How do I join?

Our meeting calendar is hosted by the lovely folks over at Luma. See that here.

How often are they?

Currently, every second week. For the West, the meeting is on Wednesday, and for the East, it's on Thursday. Check Luma for an easy visualisation of the event time for your timezone.

How long are they?

They are 2 hours in total, and the core discussion is 75 to 90 minutes.

Which topics are explored?

We explore stoic themes. They are organised into chapters, and follow emergent logical progression. The earlier you get involved the better, but each event is also independently valuable and it's not required to have been in all the events to get the value. You just get more value when you consistently show up.

The StoicUnity Book

Learn about our book, and what it can do for you.

Where can I download the book?

You can download the book on our eBook page.

Why should I read the StoicUnity book?

We spent hundreds of hours crafting the most valuable ebook on Stoicism you can find. If you want to both learn and apply stoic philosophy in your life, start with this book. We promise it will be worth it ;)

How long does the book take to read?

It's a 60 minute read. But the activities we suggest doing at the end of each chapter will take some time to try out as well.

The Special Events

The Special Events

Learn about our special events, which themes we explore, and how to get involved.

What are the special events?

Every 2 weeks we hold our primary Stoicism philosophy circles. If you want to be a part of an ever evolving dialogue on Stoicism, join these.

But we also run specific events targeting topics that are of high importance in the world today. For example, our "Meet the Other" event explored how masculine and feminine dynamics are shifting in today's world, and how we should respond appropriately.

Are the special events free?

No. The special events are free for StoicUnity paid subscribers, and are an affordable ticket price for non-subscribers.

Where can I find out about the special events?

If you dropped us your email either through the community or via Luma, we will send an email about each special event.

If you regularly attend our stoic philosophy circles, you will see them scheduled in the Luma Events calendar.

We will also add them to our home page, and share about them on our Instagram.
